A screen adaptation of the story by Lazarus Lagin. 12-year-old pioneer Volka, while swimming in the Moscow River, finds a vintage sealed vessel. The boy immediately opens it and a magic genie named Hassan Abdurrahman ibn Khattab appears out of it. Greatful that Volka saved him from two millennia of imprisonment, the genie becomes his loyal servant.
